Accelerate insurance costs 25 cents per $100 of declared value, + $5.00 admin fee.

So… For example, let’s say you have a shipment value of $2,500.

Insurance for this would cost: $2,500 / 100 * .25 + $5.00 admin fee = $11.25

We have to play the devil’s advocate in the spirit of transparency: If, for some reason, a shipper declines the freight insurance, then the claim is examined and paid by the guidelines of Rules Tariff of the carrier (every carrier has different rules, but all are published on their individual website).

Why do we want to share this insurance information with you?

As your third party shipping broker, yourLTL is not liable for the cost of repair or liability of loss while the freight was under the care and transport of the freight carrier. 

But we want to help you prevent the headache, just in case it happens.

On the bright side, as part of our agreement and as a partnership courtesy, our team here at yourLTL will file the claim on behalf of the shipper/broker. But the ultimate decision whether the claim will/will not be paid, and the value that they freight carrier could pay is subject to the freight carriers Rules Tariff vs. the value of the freight.
